Union County is located approximately 38 miles from Cincinnati, Ohio, 45 miles from Dayton, Ohio, and 70 miles from Indianapolis.

The largest industry in Union County is agriculture, with over 90% of the county deemed agricultural. The county has manufacturing facilities, tool and die companies and also holds claim to several family businesses, each with great history serving the area.

This bedroom community provides a safe environment where crime is low and family values are high, a wonderful environment to raise a family or start a business! The unemployment rate in Union County is low compared to many parts of southeastern Indiana, demonstrating a solid work ethic found in its citizens.

There is a significant swell in population throughout Union County during the summer months. From Memorial Day to Labor Day each year, large numbers of sun- and fun-seekers visit to enjoy the many campgrounds, recreational facilities and state parks in and around Union County. This provides an opportunity for area businesses to capture tourism dollars five to six months of each year.
